Congratulations to Prof. Chih-Chung Chung on His Appointment as AOGS IG Section President
We are proud to announce that Prof. Chih-Chung Chung, Principal Investigator of our Research Center, has been elected as the President of the Interdisciplinary Geosciences (IG) Section of the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) for the 2025 term.
Prof. Chung is the only scholar from Taiwan to be selected for this honor, underscoring the international recognition of Taiwan’s geoscience research excellence. The IG section of AOGS focuses on cutting-edge, cross-disciplinary research, fostering innovation and integrated approaches to complex Earth system challenges. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Chung and look forward to his leadership in advancing interdisciplinary geosciences and enhancing Taiwan’s presence on the global academic stage.
